Hello students of UW Madison and Wisconsin residents. I know many of you are furious with me right now for cutting public employee's salaries and removing their bargaining rights, I and understand this unrest.
When anyones salary is cut up to 20%, there will be anger. But keep in mind, I am also a public employee, and my salary will decrease by up to 4% by the end of my (cross your fingers) second term. None of this is easy for anyone in Wisconsin, so I would like to share how my family's personal budget has been cut for the coming business year.*

Pittsburgh Steelers Arrested
Ben Roethlisberger is expected back in court after the state of Wisconsin filed suit claiming the Pittsburgh Quarterback to be a thief. This will be his fifth time called into court, an NFL record amongst quarterbacks. Previous offenses include prostitution, not knowing how to ride a motorcycle, and rape (twice).
Roethlisberger will not be alone. At least 32 other teammates were accused of attempted burglary. Green Bay Police caught the black-and-yellow squad trying to steal the 4th Lombardi Trophy from the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

September 23rd was the day that changed my life forever. After "rocking" my geology quiz (I'm here all week folks), I came home to watch The War at Home and became fixated on the material within. For those who have not watched this masterpiece, it concerns protesters at the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the Vietnam War. The fervor of the protesters depicted in this documentary astounded me and had me asking why we do not have the same feelings about anything but coffee cake.

UW Minorities to Receive Free Tuition For 2011-2012 School Year
Madison, Wis.—Chancellor Biddy Martin announced new minorities policy on Monday,which includes free tuition for minorities on campus.
